Elizabeth Isele
Co-Founder and President, Senior Entrepreneurship Works; Co-Founder and President, eProvStudio.com; Founder, SavvySeniorsWork.com; Senior Fellow in Social Innovation at Babson College; and MetLife Foundation’s Journalists in Aging Fellow. Elizabeth launched her life as an award-winning, serial, social entrepreneur after a 30+ year distinguished career as an editor and author and as a philanthropic leader. She has both created and funded high impact social enterprises that have galvanized cross-sector community support to solve some of today’s most challenging social, economic, and environmental challenges and positively transform the lives of thousands of individuals of all ages.
Since January 2012, she has become the go-to person for all things regarding senior entrepreneurship (research, programs, policy and capitalization) for the White House, the US Congress, the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI-America), the EU Commission on Entrepreneurship, the Federal Reserve, the CDFI Fund, the Gerontological Society of America (GSA), the Association for Enterprise Opportunity, the Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED), Ashoka, Encore.org, AARP, Generations United, and the Intergenerational Learning Center at Temple U, among many others.
Elizabeth is currently producing for Jeff Skoll’s Participant Media a 10-city global Summit Series to engage top-level thought leaders on Senior and Intergenerational Entrepreneurship to drive their social action campaign for their new film The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, sequel to the British comedy-drama film The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel released in 2011 and grossing more than $134 million world-wide. Elizabeth is considered an expert in the field and is continually quoted in the media and publications such as the NY Times, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, PBS, NPR and is invited to speak on the topic of senior entrepreneurship at major government, private, philanthropic, academic, and nonprofit positive aging and economic convenings.
In 2014, Elizabeth helped Senator Mary Landrieu, Chair, Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee, design the first US Senate Hearing on Senior Entrepreneurship, which was co-hosted by the Senate’s Aging Committee (see C-span coverage at http://www.c-span.org/video/?317772-1/hearing-on-senior-startups)
