Opher Brayer
Opher Brayer – Talent Development expert, Business Mentor, Coach, Teacher, Methodologist and Creator.
Opher’s history is intertwined with the history of his native Israel. During his early years, he witnessed holocaust refugees fighting for their survival against the enemies surrounding them. Later on, he experienced the military glory of Israel and the country’s admiration for its military rise. Following that, he helped grow the advanced generation cyber technology and security 8200 unit in the Israeli Army, and then went on to grow the startup business environment in Israel.
Since 1984, Opher has been researching, constructing, and applying unique methodologies, which have demonstrated that people can develop multi-disciplinary talent, contrary to the popularly held concept that talent is “natural”.
As a jazz musician and teacher who founded the jazz department of Thelma Yellin High School of the Fine Arts in Israel, he raised an impressive number of local and international world class professional musicians, using his multi-talent development method. One his students, internationally renowned pianist Yaron Herman, explains Opher’s teaching in this touching Ted Talk: Creativity, flexibility and mathematics have led Opher to work on diverse and unique projects worldwide; one of the most outstanding is his work with Disney to design and create amusement parks rides.
Opher has taught alongside a pioneer of business intelligence theory and founder of the Academy of Business Intelligence, Professor Ben Gilad, in FULD, Boston.
He has also developed dozens of unique methodologies and processes for developing the talent and potential in individuals and groups by using three main models: Talent Development, Management Strategies, and Personal Business Relationships. The system enhances the management skills for individuals themselves and when within their work space.
In 2007, he initiated the “Talent” program, which brought 300 children from various socio-economic groups and introduced them to the process of acquiring multi-disciplinary talent in after-school activities, as well as various courses for teachers in the education system. The program was a phenomenal success with the children and the education system.
Opher was both a mentor and member of the advisory board for the Unistream program. Unistream is an Israeli organization that brings about social change by empowering teens from unprivileged communities to build and run their own startups and become entrepreneurs.
Today, Opher assists leading CEOs and industrialists with dedicated management strategies, supports processes in mergers and acquisitions, shares expertise in establishing large class, and supports startups.
Opher is also serving on the Advisory Board of Bootup Ventures in Menlo Park, CA, and is the head of the Bootup Education Department, “Bootup Academy”. His goal now is to share his 60 years knowledge of training in business and education with the younger generations.
