Kelly Courtney
Kelly Courtney is a communications and business professional with over 20 years working at the intersection of industry, government and academia. She has led high profile initiatives with major policy implications and has provided strategic counsel to C-level Fortune 500 executives, major universities, investors and federal, state, local and international government officials. She is a Senior Director at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a significant role in designing and launching the new Innovation Initiative.
Kelly served as Senior Advisor to the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment (MOITI), the state’s trade and investment agency responsible for economic development through the promotion of international business opportunities. She designed and implemented the strategic communications and policy plan for the Massachusetts Life-Sciences Economy, an initiative that led to the $1B Massachusetts Life Sciences Initiative and spearheaded Springboard 2000: New England, helping over 500 companies raise more than $6 billion in equity financing.
Previously, Kelly served as a National Director on the re-election campaign of President William J. Clinton and served in The White House and in the United States Small Business Administration. Kelly holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BA from the School for International Training.
