Fabio Zaffagnini is the creator of Rockin’1000, a crowdfunded project that culminated in a performance where 1000 musicians played a Foo Fighters’ song, whose video went viral on the web with more than 24 million views. Furthermore, Fabio is a Co-founder of Trail Me Up, a start up that creates augmented virtual reality experiences of hike trails.

In 2015 he entered the European Commission’s Expert list for his product design skills.

Previously, he dealt with Technology Transfer and Industrial Research for private and public research centers. Earlier in his career, Fabio was a marine geologist at the Institute of Marine Sciences of the Italian National Research Center and the Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Climate Change.

Fabio is an expert in social innovation, crowd funding, crowd sourcing and product design, he loves traveling, rock music and beach volleyball.
