David Hopkins
Passionate about Disruptive Innovation, David currently serves as the Director of Business Development in the US for a global mobile entertainment-technology company, Escapex. Escapex builds personalized revenue-generating apps on the Google and Apple Store for artists, influencers, and celebrities who want to improve control, reach, monetization, and engagement with their fans and followers.
David previously served as Managing Partner and Founder of Creative Expansion, LLC, a marketing, sales and communications agency. Creative Expansion provides growth consulting for early-stage social entrepreneurs and for-benefit business leaders committed to generating profits with purpose to address systemic social and environmental issues.
David also led research and sales as the Membership Director for GameChangers 500. Similar to how Fortune 500 ranks organizations on revenue, GameChangers ranks the top For-Benefit companies, such as Patagonia, Tesla, Whole Foods, and IDEO, based on their ability to make a profound positive impact using business as a force for good. His clients included for-benefit brand leaders like Etsy, Zappos, Vancity Bank, the Deepak Chopra Center, Getaround, Recology, and many others.
David is co-author of The Tactics of Hope: How Social Entrepreneurs Are Changing Our World (with Wilford Welch; foreword by Desmond Tutu), featuring twenty-seven social entrepreneurs globally who are accomplishing extraordinary change to address the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In 2006, David helped initiate the first Social Entrepreneurship Center at a liberal arts college in the country.
As a public keynote speaker, David has reached tens of thousands of university students and young professionals both on-stage and online about how to ‘do well while doing good’. He is an outspoken champion for conscious capitalism, mindful media, and empathic leadership as tools to create a more peaceful and prosperous world for current and future generations.
