Nicholas Vita, is Co-Founder, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Columbia Care LLC, the largest medical cannabis product development, manufacturing and dispensing operator in the United States.  In his capacity as CEO, Mr. Vita leads the executive team that is responsible for oversight over all company activities globally. 

Mr. Vita has over 25 years of experience serving in corporate leadership roles, investing capital, structuring and funding public/private partnerships, providing strategic advisory services to Fortune 500 companies and negotiating joint ventures and partnerships in the US, Europe, Asia and Latin America.  Prior to founding Columbia Care, Nicholas was a Partner and served as a Member of the Investment Committee at Apelles Investment Management, LLC (“Apelles”), a private holding company for several New York-based investment funds that specialize in cross-capital structure, credit and stressed/distressed debt investing within the healthcare and privatized military infrastructure sectors.  Before Apelles, Mr. Vita was a Partner, Member of the Investment Committee, and the Portfolio Manager for the Healthcare Sector at ARX Investment Management, a multi-billion dollar global credit hedge fund.  Previously, Mr. Vita worked in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. Inc., as an Analyst, Associate and Vice President in the Healthcare Department focused on Mergers, Raid Defense and Corporate Finance.  

Nicholas is a graduate of Columbia College, Columbia University where he was a Men’s Varsity Heavyweight Rower and President of Saint Anthony Hall.  He serves on a number of corporate, governmental and philanthropic advisory boards including, but not limited to; GenNext (New York), Success Academy, the Deerfield Club of New York, NY State Industrial Hemp Working Group and US Attorney (Eastern District, NY) Counterterrorism Working Group (Disruption and Early Engagement, “DEEP”).  Mr. Vita is a Knight of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta.
