Shira is known for being an expert network builder and community creator. Her background spans communications and business development in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. She was previously the Partnerships Director at Rentlogic, an urban tech startup, and a Partnerships Fellow and Senior Advisor at New America, a think tank and civic enterprise. Other career highlights include serving as a Vice President on the Chief of Staff team for the Vice Chairman of BNY Mellon, where she focused on communications and strategy, and working as a Programs Officer for External Relations on the launch team for the Qatar Foundation International. 

Shira is an active supporter of social justice and Middle East peace. She is a member of the Muslim Jewish Advisory Council of New York, the Schusterman Foundation’s ROI Community, and NEXUS Global. She also serves on the board of the Council of Young Jewish Presidents and the Israel Policy Forum’s Atid group.

Shira is a graduate of the George Washington University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Semitic Languages (Hebrew and Arabic).
